Ans planning and controlling are closely related to each other as shown in Fig. 1. After a plan becomes operational, control is necessary to measure progress, to uncover deviations from the targets and to take corrective steps. Diabetes 2 Essay Diabetes Some people have a disease that requires them to take daily injections of insulin. This disease is called diabetes, and cannot be cured. But, what if a non functioning pancreatic islet cells could be made to produce insulin once again. That would cure diabetes. The possibility has set the diabetes world excited over the past few monthsever since researchers at McGill University in Canada and the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) successfully regenerated islet cells in diabetic hamsters. The researchers used a mixture of proteins called Ilotropin to turn on nonfunctional islet cells. The treatment also caused new islet cells to grow where there had been few or none. Since then, in a report in the May 1997 Journal of Clinical Investigations, the researchers have identified the gene that Ilotropin triggers, the one involved in regenerating the islet cells. If the human version of the same gene could be turned on in similar fashion, type I insulin dependent diabetics and type IIs who inject insulin might have their natural insulin-producing apparatus restored. What is Diabetes? Well, this disease is known as diabetes mellitus, diabetes from the Greek word meaning excessive urination, a symptom the Greeks noticed, and mellitus, from the Latin for honey, which is because diabetic urine is filled with sugar and is sweet. Physicians and medical books use the term diabetes mellitus, but is the most commonly called diabetes. There are two major types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2. Both of them are a little different. But everyone with diabetes has one thing in common: Little or no ability to move sugaror glucoseout of their blood into their cells, where it is the bodys primary fuel. Everyone has glucose in their blood, whether or not they have diabetes. This glucose comes from food. When we eat, the digestive process breaks down carbohydrates into glucose, which is absorbed into the blood in the small intestine. To get insulin into the blood, do you have to inject it with a needle? Yes, but hopefully not for too much longer. Two new studies show that an experimental new inhaled insulin is at least as effective as injected insulin. A no-injection method of insulin has been the most important study for diabetes research for some time, because it would make blood glucose control much easier. Insulin pills failed because acids in the stomach destroy the pill. Squirting insulin into the nose also proved no good because of dosing problems and nasal irritation. But scientists now seem to have hit on something that works, which is a fine powder inhaled by mouth into the lungs, where it can be absorbed into the blood stream. The hormone is administered with a flashlight-sized inhaler. Does diabetes cause blindness? Sometimes is does, Compared with non-diabetics, people with diabetes are four times more likely to become blind. Among people who are legally blind, eight percent lost their vision because of diabetes. Each year, diabetes is the underlying cause of twelve percent of new blindness diagnoses. Among new diagnoses of type 2 diabetes, up to 21 percent show some degree of blindness. The most common type of eye disease that diabetics get is retinopathy. Retinopathy is caused by damage to the blood vessels that nourish the retinal nerves. Just as poorly controlled diabetes harms the major arteries, causing heart disease and stroke, the disease also takes a major toll on the tiny blood vessels in the retina. Diabetes also increase risk of cataracts, caused by clouding of the lens of the eye, and glaucoma, caused by an increase in fluid pressure within the eye that damages the optic nerve. In non-diabetic adults, less than 1 percent have glaucoma and 3 percent have cataracts. Among people with diabetes, the figures are 7 percent that have glaucoma and 22 percent have cataracts. Am a very accepting person, Im the first person to introduce myself to the new kid in class, and often found myself giving tours to many new kids when was in high school. Ive listed adaptable to change as one of my weakest points because of how accepting am. Was the first person my best friend came out to; I find people have a degree of comfort with me. I think this is important in the area of childhood education because not all kids fit in with the majority, bullying develops where some children feel excluded in activities and as the trusted adult in the tuition, having a level of comfort with me will help them feel more safe and included. I also feel this helps with accepting situations along with people. As much as I dont adapt to changes, I will accept the situation. Believe that will be successful in early childhood education because am imaginative and problem solving. This comes in handy with any situation involving children, when babysitting it easily helped me develop games to keep them entertained while also teaching them important lessons. Children are filled with imagination already and it seems to fade away earlier and earlier with very generation. I also listed self confident about abilities, meaning I am not. Enlisted my mother to help me pick out my traits because I couldnt decide them on my own accurately. Im told constantly how smart I am but also how I hold it inside, hold myself back. That being said, a lack of self confidence never helped anyone get anywhere. My plan when it comes to this weakness is with this course, want to start trusting myself and what decisions I make. My last strength is that Im patient with others; this comes in handy when it comes to children. Children are not patient beings at all; I dont know how they survive all year waiting for Christmas. That being said some children arent as fast to learn things in school, such as special needs children, and being patient with them will be positive to both of us. Some children do feel rushed and overwhelmed in school and I believe being patient with them will only help further their education and help them succeed. My last weakness is trusting Of others, this was another trait I enlisted my mother for, she tells me Im too trusting of others and I agree. I have always been the trusting one, someone people can count on even when I cant count on them. I believe everyone deserves a second chance and my plan to fix this to develop a thicker skin when it comes to trusting. Not to say trusting someone is a bad thing, when it comes to early childhood education, trusting your children is great and the children you teach trusting you is even better. I believe I have many positive traits but the strongest ones would be that am very accepting, imaginative, problem solving and patient. With all of those strong traits I have overall weak traits including that I am not very adaptable to change, am also not very self confident in myself or my abilities and Im over trusting of those Of whom might not deserve it. Hope to improve on my weakest traits by improving myself and my education. Feel as my weakest traits stem from myself and that I can only change by changing and loving myself. I have explained how each and every trait is helpful in the world of early childhood education, even the bad traits. In conclusion, I can only get better by furthering myself and my education.

These greatest levels of job satisfaction are considered most important among â€Å"the big five personality traits, second only to neuroticism† (Lapierre and Hackett, 2007, p.540). Empirical studies: A meta-analysis in respect to close association between creation of greater level of job satisfaction and employee performance has been conducted by Michelle T Iaffaldano, Paul M Muchinsky (1985). This research has shown that out of 74 empirical studies regarding job satisfaction and effective job performance, it has been f ound that the greater the job satisfaction among the employees, the larger will be the level of performance by the employees in any organisation (Iaffaldano and Muchinsky, 1985, p.251). Aggregated studies had been comprised of a size of the sample as 12,192 and 217 satisfaction performances have been found to be correlated. Findings of this research have also shown that, the most efficient predictor of the (measured) true population parameter, the correlation between the degree of job satisfaction and the degree of employee performance has been relatively low (0.17) (Iaffaldano and Muchinsky, 1985, p.251). The main contractor of this building was Samsung Company, through its department of construction and technology. Samsung is a South Korean company that has interests in the construction and the electronics industry. The design of Burj Khalifa was meant to be a centerpiece for a variety of uses, which includes residential homes, offices, hospitals, shopping malls. Its design was able to carter for an approximate number of 30,000 homes, and nine international hotel chains. This building has an approximate number of 7.4 acres of parkland lands, and 19 residential towers. It has a very big mall that carte r for the shopping needs of its residents, and 30 acres of manmade lake. This lake is referred to as the Burji Khalifa Lake. However, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill re-designed the building in 2006, at placed it at a height of around 808 meters. Smith, who was the design architect, felt that this height made it impossible for the upper most section of the Burj Khalifa building to elegantly culminate with the rest of the structure. On this basis, he sought permission to increase the structure of this building to 823 meters. However, it is important to denote that these changes in height did not encompass a change in the addition of the buildings floors. On this basis, the intention of Smith was to make the building a little bit slender and thin. It is also important to denote that this building experienced a lot of challenge s, and one of the challenges were delays in its construction and development. For example in 2008, the contractors of this building denoted that its construction was delayed because of the upgraded finishes. On this basis, the building will be completed in the periods of September 2009. According to Emaar properties, part of the owners of the building denoted that the original plan was to install luxurious finishes within the building. This was contained in the 2004 architectural design and drawings of the building. However, in 2008, the designers of the building decided to upgrade these finishes, and that was the reasons for the delay in completion of the project.
